David

Owner, Trainer, & Hunting Guide

David has spent the past 22 years as an Active Duty Soldier in the U.S. Army, and with retirement looming mere months away, he’s looking forward to the additional time he will be able to spend with the pups and the family.  The same values he learned and lived in the Army are combined with his faith and are now the guiding principles by which he runs F.I.T. Point Bird Dogs.  When it comes to upland hunting, he feels there is nothing like sharing the experience with good friends and good hunting dogs!

Beth

Owner, Logistics, & Operations

In addition to her duties as the owner of “Fig Tree Bookkeeping,” Beth is the glue that holds all of this together.  Her love is the cornerstone of what we do here at F.I.T. Point Bird Dogs.  Her love, encouragement, & positive reinforcement results in pups who love hard and hunt harder!

The girls

puppy lovers & Pup playmates

What child doesn’t love puppies?  The love and constant attention the pups receive from “The Girls,” ensure that they are well socialized to children and will make the perfect addition to any family!  Much to the enjoyment of the pups, “The Girls,” make certain that our pups are never short on playtime, affection, or treats!

      Our Name

When attempting to decide on a name for what would come to be Faith In The Point Bird Dogs, David and Beth struggled to come up with something that was unique yet reflected their deep rooted family values and love of the Lord.  So how did F.I.T. Point Bird Dogs get its name?  We’re glad you asked!

While guiding hunts on two separate occasions, David witnessed the same events unfold with both groups.  Twice, Nelli stopped dead on a steady point, both parties slowly approached to flush only to exclaim, “there’s nothing here,” when suddenly the birds burst up from almost directly under their feet, taking them by surprise, causing a mixture of gunfire and four letter words.

Once David was able to control his laughter he found himself reiterating the fact that they’ve got to have faith in the dog and its training!  That statement coupled with the ultimate faith that we believe you need to have in the Lord, is how we came up with Faith In The Point Bird Dogs, our logo, and our motto of:

You’ve got to have faith in your dog, faith in training, and most importantly, faith in the good Lord above!

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:1

“There’s nothing here”

“I think your dog has gone crazy”

Faith is the foundation of all things.
